Sneakers are still on trend.

Yay for comfort!

Add a sports-luxe finish to any daytime look with Alexander McQueen's leather sneakers. Available in white with several trim options, the classic style is elevated with a chunky rubber sole that features a built-in wedge for height and comfort. A beautiful rosy-pink suede panel to the heel is printed with the designer's logo in an opulent gold-tone effect for an instant dose of chic.

loveteeHaving just arrived back from an amazingly beautiful family weekend showering my middle sister, the bride-to-be, with lots of love, this tee just seems fitting today.

Expressing how you feel through clothing is fun, and of course stylish! This soft featherweight tee, crafted from pure cotton jersey by Each x Other, is an easy addition to your closet, bringing lots of love and happiness. Wear with joggers and wedges, a skirt and flirty heels or jeans, a tailored jacket and sneakers.

A conversation-starter for sure.

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of lunching with some of my favorite peeps at Neiman Marcus for their fall preview. This exclusive event showcased the season's best looks, from head to toe.

In one word, awesome.

We are coming upon my favorite season of the year. And the picks from Ken Downing, Fashion Director, have me giddy. On top of the scrumptious fabrics and prints, Neiman Marcus has a growing list of items found only at Neiman Marcus (look for #onlyatNM). The consistent theme in the past several seasons is color — berry baby! And my favorite model, Brooke, shows us just how to wear it.

Keeping it simple, Neiman Marcus shares their list of must haves for fall.

Women

Bold gold and high shine metallics, ripe berry shades, velvet, florals, skirts that move, the new bomber, chokers, top-handle bags, the adorned shoe and the dramatic eye.

Men

Browns (from camel to whiskey), British accents (plaids, checks and tweeds), velvet, 70s swagger, attitude tees, suede and shearling outwear, trainers and statement topcoats.

These are my personal favorites:

Time to get excited for fall, even if your particular climate isn't cooperating.

Oh, don't I wish.

If only this heat would break to give us a glimpse of fall. I am so ready to wear cozy pieces like this.

September is rolling in on Thursday. And while I'd like to think we can move into fall, it doesn't quite work that way. In fact, it may be November before we feel cooler temps.

Until then, we can dream. Plan. Play. And Prepare.

So let's start with this wool cardigan by Demobaza. Wool deliciousness to keep us warm. I can see myself creating daily outfits around this, as I won't want to take it off. Those are the kinds of pieces I love.

As I continue to purge — both clients and myself — only the items that we love and feel a connection with should remain in our closets. They must fill us up, or at least serve a specific purpose.

Is your closet ready for fall? If not, time to call me.

Having recently come back from back-to-back travel (vacation and health conference), I am grateful for so much. Faith and family at the forefront.

As a wardrobe stylist, you might find it hard to believe that I don't have a hard time parting with material items. Yes, I love beautiful things. I appreciate the art aspect in fashion. However, when every diamond you own is stolen from you while on vacation, everything quickly comes into perspective.

I do not share this with you for pity. In fact, I believe it happened for a reason. And I choose to conjure up in my mind that the 18 year olds that took off with all of my jewelry (yet, left my Cartier watch?) needed it in desperation.

Getting past the violation and grief of what the jewelry symbolized, I realize the newness that is about to be created. Something amazingly beautiful will come of this. I feel it in my soul.

And my family. Thank goodness for these loving, supportive, stunning people in my life. That vacation goes down as the best family vacation ever.
