White. Always. Any time of the year.

One thing that is always in style — white. It makes you look fresh and alive, even if you don't feel that way. This uncolor is an instant spirit lift. From summer into fall, white is here to stay.

So keep going high contrast, mixing white and black. Or, go all white, year round.

Just the anticipation of cooler weather makes me giddy. Fall bound! Well, not quite — but for one week. And I'll take it.

I am about to enter early fall temps. A week of vaca for the summer. I am beyond thrilled it will be spent in a cooler climate after spending six weeks at lacrosse tournaments in crazy heat. Sizzling heat. So yes, I am ready.

The easiest way to slip into the upcoming season is with simple basics that give good punch. Like a short sleeve cashmere sweater by Annapurna. So many colors to choose from. Luxury in simple solids!

I am no stranger to scarves. If I'm being honest, I have a little addiction.

Time of year makes no difference. I love scarves anytime, from anywhere and for any occasion. When I find a good one, I share. So I must pass on this featherweight cotton-voile scarf from Rose & Rose. The frayed style has been hand-loomed and embroidered in India. Which makes it special, along with the high contrast colors — bright pink against white. Love!

Seriously. Why am I so in love with biker pants? Especially leather. And now, in pale pink.

While I can't wear pink with this red hair of mine, I would definitely consider wearing these blush beauties on my bottom half. Pink is a pivatol color this year. And with quilted leather detail and gold metal hardware, I am sold. Yum!Β

Who is spring ready?

Now wait, there's a difference between being ready for spring and being spring ready. If you are committed to Style Challenge #1, then you are ready for the additional layers that will be added to the challenge next week. No matter the weather, you have to be in it to win it. Well, technically there is no prize. However, your excitement/willingness/openness to suit up for the challenge should fill you with an immense amount of joy and confidence β€” that's a huge reward in itself.

In order to be spring ready, your closet needs to be prepared, your mindset needs to be right and you must be willing to roll with the punches, i.e., the ever-changing weather. If you are having difficulties, contact me. I am happy to guide you through this transitional season.
