The first style challenge of 2014 is here! And it couldn't be more fitting for this transitional season. While it may be difficult at times, it is definitely doable. And entertaining. In two weeks, I will add layers to this challenge. So get ready!
Challenge #1 Rules:
1. Watch the video.
2. In your closet, start with the item in your 'tops' section that is first in order. For example, if your closet is organized by sleeve length and color, your first top will most likely be white and sleeveless. How you choose to layer is up to you, whether under or over, or both! If you skip a top, I won't know (but you will, so make a mental note of why). You can pair this top with any bottom in your closet, or even a dress.
3. The goal is to wear every single top, spring or fall related, now in preparation for the upcoming season. You will gain a new spring in your step. Literally.
4. Don't worry about spring dresses, skirts, pants and shorts yet. Although, I do not want to hold you back if you are ready to jump in. Balance and climate appropriateness are key.
5. If you get frustrated, don't give up. Sometimes, we need to press the pause button. No worries.
I already know what my spring-like ensemble will look like for tomorrow. How about you?
No more, I say!
Embrace the bralette. With satin criss-cross straps or organza mesh, it not only brings a sexy back, but it provides options beyond belief! Every difficult dress I own, no longer owns me. I have options. And so will you.

Though my list only includes staples at the moment, they definitely have personality. Long, supple leather gloves, sassy short jumpsuit, boots with attitude, gorgeously structured handbag and fantastic denim. All easy pieces to integrate into my wardrobe.

With all the rain we've had over that last few weeks, I am looking forward to drying out. It makes this week even more perfect, as I will be fall shopping with my amazing clients. Talk about instant inspiration. This break in temperature has brought on boot wearing season. You can be assured that boots, and all those amazing clothes and accessories we look forward to wearing in the fall and winter months, made the shopping lists.
As the cooler months approach, it's time to get clear on your wardrobe. Does it serve you? Does it represent your personal style? Can it adjust with your mood? Does it fulfill you? Very important questions to ponder. And now is the time to prepare. Take inventory. Assess what's working, what's not and what's needed. Then, bridge those gaps.
If it begins to be too much, seek a professional. It's life changing, truly. Once your closet is in tip top shape, you can sit back and relax. And enjoy moments like these.

Hurry if you want them, though, as they will not hang around for long. Trust me ... I've found out the hard way on numerous occasions. You can find these garments and more at theOutnet.com.
