Season's Must Haves
The morning chill was delicious, wasn't it? It made me long for slippers.
Hands down, my favorite gift from my family every Christmas is slippers. Why? Well, that's simple, my feet are always cold. Some years I experiment with new brands. However, I am mostly boring and stick with the same down slippers, as they are a sure thing.
Look at these, though! Sorel, you have me tempted. A slipper that I can actually walk outside in. There are a couple versions, too, in addition to color options. Premium suede upper, rich felt vamp, cozy fleece and vulcanized rubber outsole whose herringbone design delivers traction on wet surfaces.

Sneakers are still on trend.
Yay for comfort!
Add a sports-luxe finish to any daytime look with Alexander McQueen's leather sneakers. Available in white with several trim options, the classic style is elevated with a chunky rubber sole that features a built-in wedge for height and comfort. A beautiful rosy-pink suede panel to the heel is printed with the designer's logo in an opulent gold-tone effect for an instant dose of chic.

A couple weeks ago I had the pleasure of lunching with some of my favorite peeps at Neiman Marcus for their fall preview. This exclusive event showcased the season's best looks, from head to toe.
In one word, awesome.
We are coming upon my favorite season of the year. And the picks from Ken Downing, Fashion Director, have me giddy. On top of the scrumptious fabrics and prints, Neiman Marcus has a growing list of items found only at Neiman Marcus (look for #onlyatNM). The consistent theme in the past several seasons is color — berry baby! And my favorite model, Brooke, shows us just how to wear it.
Keeping it simple, Neiman Marcus shares their list of must haves for fall.
Bold gold and high shine metallics, ripe berry shades, velvet, florals, skirts that move, the new bomber, chokers, top-handle bags, the adorned shoe and the dramatic eye.
Browns (from camel to whiskey), British accents (plaids, checks and tweeds), velvet, 70s swagger, attitude tees, suede and shearling outwear, trainers and statement topcoats.
These are my personal favorites:
Time to get excited for fall, even if your particular climate isn't cooperating.
As we look to fall and all it has to bring (cooler temps, especially), I keep coming back to the ease of these See By Chloé suede boots.
Utility meets retro chic, this slouchy style crafted from velvety camel suede is finished with a patterned lace-up tie. The chunky heel brings comfort, while making the casual pairings ongoing — from dress to button down and skinnies to sweater and cropped flares to tee and skirt.

Pleats are here for another season.
While I love the leather take on the pleated skirt, I am school-girl giddy for this cotton twill number. Balenciaga puts an edgy twist on what we know of the pleated skirt. This one — army green, thigh-skimming and crafted from a firm cotton twill for a structured look.
So many fantastic outfits just waiting to be created around this skirt.
