fw14makeupIf only I had decent eyebrows. Because bold brows are still making an impact this season.

While bold can sometimes come across as hard, makeup artist Diane Kendal went for a slightly more arched look for Carolina Herrera, making them more feminine. Paired with pinkish-purple stained lips (which Kendal created by swiping on M.A.C. Lipstick in Boysenberry and blotting it away), it can be quite sophisticated.

Another definite do this fall are eyes done up in gray/brown colors for an easy daytime smoky eye.

Downsizing can be good.

Especially if it involves stellar pieces of jewelry. Enter: J.Crew.

I cannot say enough about this Wishbone Cuff in Russian gold plating. First and foremost, it fits my tiny wrist! Typically, open-ended cuffs do not work for my wrist. They tend to fall right off. However, this is styled so perfectly for small wrists. I might just have to buy a second one for when I wear this one out.

With minimal jewelry hitting the scene this season, finding the perfect mix is essential. Between this cuff, the hinged choker (I wear it backwards) and the ID ring, I am set from J.Crew. Of course, I have added a few other amazing simplicities for fall. But this cuff happens to be my favorite.

Here's to minimalism!

I always have a thing for something. Right now, it's shearling.

It never fails, the closer we get to fall, the more in tune with the warm and fuzzy I become. And boots (always)! After drooling over Chloé's reversible shearling and leather coat, I can't get shearling off my brain.

Since July, I have been looking for a pair of shearling-lined leather boots. And voilà! Along comes Jimmy Choo with the Dalton boot. Perfect for the chillbound temps of winter. I love that these boots can be worn both folded down with the shearling flaps exposed or laced all the way up for added warmth.

puffercoatloveThis is not your typical puffer coat.

No kidding. And thank goodness, right?

Donna Karan understands that women want warmth — and style! I absolutely love everything about this chic coat. Oversized spread collar. Open front. Long sleeves. And long length.

This is what I want to hang out in on the weekends this winter. It looks fabulous over dressy and casual ensembles.

It's time to rethink the puffer coat.

I am so ready. For sweaters. Big time.

Thankfully, this fall is all about the ease of the sweater. And I have picked out three simple, yet chic, styles to make day-to-day dressing a snap. I am loving this high neck McQ Alexander McQueen oversized ribbed felt-wool sweater. Paired with just about anything, and it's cool. The Rachel cotton-jersey sweater by Karl Lagerfeld is playful and comfy. And Isabel Marant's chunky Sao alpaca and wool-blend sweater brings warmth and coziness on those chilly days.

Cooler weather, please come visit!
