Spring happens to be comfortable, versatile and
stylish. This season, you will find the platform sandal just about everywhere you look. What I love about this shoe, is that it gives you height at less of an incline. The straps provide stability and security (
for those of us with weak ankles). And with tights, you can wear them year round.
The other day, I received a distress call from my friend, Kay, who desperately wants this pair of
Christian Louboutin sandals. However, at $1095, it's not going to happen. So, my challenge became finding a suitor, at a fraction of the cost. After scouring a ton of brands, I believe we have some great alternatives. Looking in the neutral palette, I chose two popular colors, black and bone.
Shoe designers have done a fabulous job this season of providing
fashionable looks at all price points. In fact, it's hard to decide just which platform sandal to go with. Look what happens when you mix black and bone together. It's a killer combination.
Realizing there's only room in my
closet for one pair of YSLs at the moment (read: economy), I found a steal with these BCBGirls. Can you believe the similarities? Granted, the construction is no where near the quality of
YSL. There's always a trade off. In this case, it's the little squeak the

make every now and again. However, for now, I am okay with that.
