Can we just pretend, for a moment, that this is me hanging off the edge of my tree house villa in Shangri-La Villingili Resort and Spa Maldives? Because honestly, that's where I want to be right about now. If the weather isn't going to cool down here for fall, I might as well transport myself to a dreamy location.

So, what shall I wear? Stay tuned.

You can cross Meet the Teacher off the list. That exciting day has already led to the beginning of what is sure to be a wondrous new school year — for both of my babes. I have to admit, though, there's a lot to remember. Each year, more and more responsibility is piled on. The entire family's calendar has to be managed tightly. In times like these, I go to my happy place. Today, it's the Marc Jacobs yellow suede/velvet boots from last fall. Ahhhhh.

Hmmm, I don't know what I did different this morning to get all of this attention.

Let's see. Could it be that you forgot your skirt? Or shorts, perhaps? Either would have been a welcome addition. Not that you don't have an amazing derrière. Because you do. However, it's best to keep that under wraps when you leave the house.

I love this image. For more reasons than I care to admit. Oh, to have a rear end that doesn't have additions directly underneath it! I will never know what that feels like. More than anything, it's all about the serious confidence it takes to walk out of the house without a care in the world about what others think. How great is that?

To all of my wonderful clients that I will see this week, I promise your outfits will not miss a thing! Complete in every way possible.

As I begin to shift focus to fall, I find myself blushing. As in the color.

Giving my wardrobe a break from brights, if just for the week, I am sporting the 'in between' — pastel. Tone on tone pastel. And I'm loving it. Lavender is my best pastel (versus pink), so I've tailored inspirations to my personal coloring. Is blush pink the best on you? If not, let's find your best pastel.

Self expression in color can be quite liberating. Whether it's high contrast, monochromatic or a mix of the unthinkable. Never stop experimenting!

colorpatternAfter the surprisingly cooler temps and low humidity this past weekend, there is no doubt fall is on my mind. Oh, what a teaser we had!

Enjoying the perfect glass of wine on an Adirondack chair overlooking lush fields, feeling the summer breeze against my skin ... that is how I spent my weekend.

While I didn't wear this, I certainly could have (and would have loved to, though it's not out yet). Chic. Rich fabric. Vibrant colors. Comfort. Loungewear that is street worthy! I will definitely be on the look out for Tommy Hilfiger's fall '11 collection.

Thank you Tommy for taking a lounge-effect ensemble and making it stylish enough to wear just about anywhere!
