Aside from hoverboards, the gift of the season is definitely color therapy.

I have to give credit to my inlaws. They do a great job finding unique, covetable gifts. My mother-in-law has turned me onto a lip balm and hand lotion that I cannot live without (and consequently buy over and over again). And this year, my father-in-law came up with the genius idea to include this Creative Therapy coloring book in our white elephant gift exchange. My husband was the lucky recipient.

Since then, I've purchased 3 more for our family. We love them! We sit and color together while our puppy enjoys a bone. It's awesome, stylish fun

Available at Barnes & Noble, Amazon and potentially your local book store by Hannah Davies, Richard Merritt, Jo Taylor

FornasettiI am all about yummalicious-smelling goodness in my house. Especially around the holidays. And this is one combination I am excited about — Thyme, Lavender, Birch, Incense and Cedarwood.

Fornasetti's La Chiave Nero Diffusing Sphere is an essential oil-based diffuser fragranced with the label's signature Otto scent. Pour in a little of the liquid to the handcrafted ceramic sphere to perfume your home for three to six months. I love the design, dual-sided key and lock featuring opera singer and muse Lina Cavalieri.

Available at Net-a-Porter

Last week, I had the opportunity to spend some time with my favorite peeps at Neiman Marcus Charlotte. Being surrounded by knowledgeable professionals with bright smiling faces feels like home. Every year, they have a great gift list. And this year is no different.

From the yummy BEDRE milk chocolate coated potato crisps ($19) and NM EXCLUSIVE four cake holiday sampler ($35) to the Wintersmiths ice baller ($85) and Neiman Marcus Cooks cookbook ($45), you are sure to be the hit of the party bringing one of these lovely gifts. Let's not forget a little indulgence with the Bliss glamour gloves ($52), canvas dopp kit, Gucci shimmer stencil scarf ($260) and Loro Piana roadster half-zip cashmere sweater (850). Gifts you may want to double up on (one for you, one for me) — Jo Malone London english pear & freesia home candle ($65) and Molton Brown festive bauble ornament ($15 each).

With the array of holiday gifts available at Neiman Marcus Charlotte, at your local NM store or online, you can gift stylishly for all your loved ones!

The time has come. My favorite gifts of the season!

It's always difficult to narrow the selection, but I tried to hone in on a variety of concepts for women and men. I even included stocking stuffers.

One thing I know, women want to give and receive luxury over the holidays. Luxury can mean different things — something warm and toasty, jewelry, handbag, shoes or clothes. The same concept is applied to men. However, it tends to be a bit easier for women to pick out a luxurious item for their man. And men certainly appreciate quality construction.

Gifty splendors can range from leather goods to accessories to home decor. Stocking stuffers are always pleasers!

Featured items above, clockwise: For Ladies :: Temperley London fur, Portolano studded leather gloves, Maiyet peyton mini, Chloe cuff, Chloe fox fur boots, Stella McCartney sweater, Marc by Marc Jacobs stacking rings, Bottega Veneta leather key fob and Charlotte Olympia daphne suede heels. You may think it's early, but I have checked almost everything off my holiday shopping list. And it feels great!

It's been years since I've been this organized. Of course, I had a lot of help this year, thanks to Noonday Collection.

If you are not familiar with Noonday Collection, their mission is to create economic opportunity for the vulnerable. They partner with artisans in the developing world, empowering them to grow sustainable businesses. By creating a marketplace for their goods, Noonday creates dignified jobs at living wages. This allows artisans to earn more in order to support their families.

It's no surprise that Noonday made my holiday gift guide last year. And here they are again! Giving with a conscience.
