Blissliving Home, the new interior lifestyle brand for the stylish consumer seeking modern design with global influence, announces the launch of its Give & Receive shopping event, to benefit Food for Others, the largest food bank in Northern Virginia.

With unemployment rates rising, food banks are struggling to keep up with the daily increasing demand. Compounding the problem is that food drives are typically a holiday phenomenon. By summer, many food banks’ supplies dwindle. This year, supplies might run out faster than in normal years.

Mei Xu, creator and CEO of Blissliving Home, says,
Food for Others provides families in Northern Virginia with thousands of free meals every day. We wanted to join them in the fight against hunger. I hope our support will help Food for Others meet the demand for free food during these trying times. Everyone deserves a good meal by the end of the day.

More and more Americans need food they cannot afford. We have seen the need for our services spike like never before. We appreciate Blissliving Home’s support at a time when the community needs it most.
The Give & Receive shopping event takes place via Blissliving Home’s online boutique now through Sunday, May 31. Customers should enter the code “Food4Others” at checkout to participate and receive free shipping. Thank you for your support.

568-aclive12slideshow_mainprod_affiliate571When I received my invitation to attend the grand opening event of the new Clive Christian Showroom in Charlotte, NC in March, I was ecstatic! Not only am I a huge fan of the fragrances (No. 1 being my scent), but having had the opportunity to speak with Clive's daughter, Victoria, recently made it a bit surreal for me.

An elite crowd, sipping cosmos and dining on fine Hors d'oeuvres, gazed in amazement at the gorgeous display of kitchens - where it all started for Clive, his signature being the chandelier. I have to admit, it makes me want to hang a fantastic chandelier over my kitchen island and back light my walls (above and below the cabinets) in pink!

917-aclive11slideshow_mainprod_affiliate571It was a pleasure to bring my friends Jeffre Scott, Kara Icard and Michel VanDevender. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening, mingling with everyone and getting our pictures taken by the Charlotte News & Observer. And we made sure to be in the right place and the right time when the fragrances were unveiled, for what seemed like only 10 minutes.

collage1And let's talk about the unbelievable cars on sight. Having subscribed to European Car and Driver in my 20s, I can attest to my love of beautiful moving masterpieces. The Lamborghini and the Rolls-Royce were oh-so-carefully guarded. However, that didn't stop us from snapping photos!

Look for my interview with Victoria Christian in the upcoming weeks. This glance back in history will surely have you amazed.
