Fashion Week

The last two days of Fashion Week did not disappoint. From the glitz and glam of Zac Posen to the gorgeous sophistication of Ralph Lauren. Both of these collections made my top 5 for Fall 09 ... I was completely seduced. Zac Posen interjected flair both in the flouncy layers utilized in his skirts and dresses, and also in texture and pattern, such as floral sequins.Ralph Lauren's collection was all woman ... feminine, romantic, elegant. It was delicious! There is nothing this designer cannot do.

Ports 1961's India-inspired collection showcased silk sari dresses. The vibrant colors, fabrics (silk, woven, sequins and fur), and patterns (oriental floral and plaid), of Isaac Mizrahi delighted the senses. Calvin Klein gave simple lines an edge with a crescent hem, cut outs and tone-on-tone pattern. Brian Reyes presented a "work wear" collection easy to adapt, and he paired my two favorite colors from Fall 08 together — chocolate and cranberry. Vera Wang took a conservative approach for Fall 09, sticking to mostly solid black ensembles, while adding splices of colored and textured fabric along the way.

Be on the look out for pictures from my favorite runway collections!
