From NYC to Brazil to Charlotte, the fashion industry is buzzing about this year’s globe-spanning extravaganza — Fashion’s Night Out! It's one of the biggest fashion events in history and is bound to be awe-inspiring.
Right here in the Queen City, Neiman Marcus is throwing their biggest FNO event yet. Come enjoy the trunk shows featuring men’s and women’s fashion trends for fall 2010, learn about the must have beauty tools of the season, see the latest in luxury driving from Mercedes-Benz of South Charlotte and view The Art Institute of Charlotte’s student exhibition.
Best yet (my opinion, of course), is the "When and Wear" style showdown. Three local stylists, myself included, will present their vision of Neiman's top trends for fall. You definitely want to attend this fashion show full of fabulous looks!
When Neiman Marcus asked me to style looks for the fashion show, I was beside myself with excitement! Neiman Marcus as my fashion playground ... get out of town! It doesn't get any better than that. And I am in the great company of fellow stylists. We are all thrilled to be a part of such a prestigious event.
Mark your calendar now for this Friday, September 10th from 6:30-10:00pm at Neiman Marcus in SouthPark. Can't wait to see you there!
Technically, you don't have to think about next spring. I just can't help myself ... I'm always a few seasons ahead. And this upcoming Fashion Week brings such excitement with the new location in Lincoln Center's Damrosch Park, in addition to adding new designers to the roster.
From September 9-16, thousands of fashion industry professionals will gather to see over 90 of the worlds most established and up-and-coming designers present their collections for spring 2011.
Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week will host three runway venues; the Theatre, Stage and Studio as well as a fourth presentation space called the Box for designer presentations, industry forums, press conferences and other activities. Peter Levy, SVP and Managing Director of IMG Fashion, shares

This past weekend, I covered fashion week, compliments of Catherine. Just as I had imagined, it was truly magical! While I didn’t have any celebrity encounters myself, the experience left me with such gratitude. During my stay in NYC, I had the opportunity to attend many shows including Haute Hippie, Lela Rose and Rachel Antonoff (my favorite), to name just a few. The shows I attended were magnificent from the hospitality to the souvenirs to the showcase of each designer's fall/winter 2010 collections. However, the absolute best presentation was Rachel Antonoff’s.
Rachel's showcase was unlike anything I've ever seen before. “The Mystery at Lafayette House” was set in a mansion located in East Village Manhattan. Attendees entered a crime scene and had to identify the murderer by watching the witnesses. Who would have guessed such suspense combined with the '50s and '60s fashion would be such a hit? The inspiration and the plot won my heart! I’m still unsure of the culprit. Maybe you can tell me?
