Day 5 and 6 of Fashion Week brought a good showing of pieces that follow the body lines closely, which is always a flattering look. I added one thing to Emerging Themes ... an item that makes me happy.
Designer mentions: Narciso Rodriguez, The Row, Vera Wang, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Marc Jacobs and Dennis Basso.
Thank goodness Saturday and Sunday sent the bla bla blas packing. The designers brought it to Fashion Week on day 3 and 4! My favorite of the 4 days, and quite possibly the entire week, is Prabal Gurung. Madly in love!!
Designer mentions: Vivienne Tam, Adam, Alexander Wang, Jill Stuart, Thakoon, Lela Rose, Diane von Furstenberg and Prabal Gurung.
While the first two days of Fashion Week may have been a little underwhelming, there were some great take aways. For one, I'm predicting cornflower blue to be the 'it' color for next fall.
Designer mentions: BCBG, Christian Siriano, Rag & Bone, Rebecca Minkoff and Rebecca Taylor.
Fortunately, you don't really have to think about next fall ... yet. That's what I'm here for. As always, you'll get stellar reporting on the cross-overs from spring to fall, emerging themes and designs that earn the drool factor award.

Much anticipation for what's to come! Stay tuned.
Yesterday, in the Grand Palais, Paris, alongside an 80-piece orchestra, the ready-to-wear collection showcased in all its splendor. From sophisticated suits and dresses to edgier ensembles (pants, short shorts, minis), dripping in iconic CHANEL fabric, extravagance was evident in the details. Our love affair with sheers, feathers, bi-level cuts and exaggerated necklines continues to flourish.
This is one show where each look becomes your favorite. You simply cannot pick a handful to describe the collection. Therefore, I present you with 15 fabulous CHANEL runway moments for SS11! Magnifique!
