I have yet to get excited about any designer bringing their fashion goodness to Target. I like the real thing. However, with everything that Missoni is bringing to the table, I might possibly be swayed to check it out. Will I line up in anticipation of the launch? Absolutely not. My philosophy remains, if it's still there, it's meant to be.

What makes this relationship so different for Target? For starters, it's the largest limited-time designer collection to date. It includes more than 400 items ranging from $2.99 - $599.99 — spanning cosmetic bags, make-up brush sets, hair accessories and apparel/accessories for women, men, girls and baby. In addition, it will include home goods, such as bedding, dinnerware and décor items. The Missoni for Target collection will be available September 13 - October 22 in stores and online.

You'll find me in the home goods and little girls departments.

While there weren't a ton of favorites from The Row's fall '11 collection, I have to admit I am over the top for the launch of their new handbag collection. It is exquisite.

Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen seem to pride themselves on the fact that their clothing line is one of the most expensive in the industry. Their handbags certainly follow suit. Starting around $5000, the bags are made of top quality leather, lizard, ostrich and alligator, available exclusively through Barneys. Classic staples to last a lifetime. I want, I want. Unfortunately, I cannot have. However, my sister will have no problem indulging.

Handbags carried sideways? Only on the runway — très chic! Don't you just love it? Not realistic, of course, but that's the whole point — to capture our attention. And that Prada did. What I love most from Prada's fall handbag collection are the buckle strap clutches. Roomier than your average clutch. Incredibly darling!

And then, the boots! While Prada made a gazillion variations of this style for the runway, we will be lucky to see one or two of them in the stores. I would give just about anything for this pair! School girl luxe.

Prada's fall 2011 collection is Divine with a capital d. Modern. Feminine. Embellished to a tee. Every piece has its occasion.

If August is any indication of how busy this fall/winter season will be, it's time to buckle up and hire an assistant (or two) now. Of course, that would require having the time to write the job description(s).

Fall wardrobe planning with clients seems to begin earlier and earlier each year. And right now, purging is a hot commodity. I'm not sure who gets more satisfaction out of a cleansed closet — me or my clients. A closet that no longer overwhelms, but instead, inspires. I love that! And just ask my clients how they feel about it!

So, as I begin to pull together some basics that can be lived in — really lived in and loved — not to mention be the envy of your friends, it was only natural that I turn to Velvet's fall lookbook. Oh, yes. I am already in comfort mode. In fact, I can almost feel the lush textures against my skin.

Time to add some new Velvet staples to your wardrobe (and mine).
You had me at the turban, Roksanda Ilincic.

This is glamour in a minimalist way. Perfect for wrapping up July, don't you think? As I dream of resort season (already), I am challenging clients to rethink how they pack for such excursions. Enter: Roksanda Ilincic's resort 2012 collection. Big. Bold. Beautiful.
