essiemezmerisedEvidently, I'm having an affair with cobalt blue.

I love it on walls. And, of course, in clothing and accessories. But now, I must have it on my finger nails.

Various shades of blue have adorned my fingers and toes in the past. But nothing quite as bold as this. Essie's Mezmerised is on my list to pick up this week. I may even find myself leaving the store with a few more cobalts in hand.

With cornflower blue playing such a big role this fall, it's high time cousin cobalt got to come out and play. This jolt of color is like an extra shot of espresso in the morning. And who couldn't use that?

Besides, my nails will look great holding my cobalt blue Otterbox phone case.
I am digging a soft gray nail at the moment. As we surround ourselves with dark colors this season, why not lighten up with a pale shade of gray on our fingers and toes? A step up from winter white.

I attempted this color last week, in a different brand albeit, and was sorely disappointed. Other than the name, I love everything about this bottle (especially what's inside). Whether you pick this one, with soft blue undertones by Essie, or OPI's milky soft gray, Skull & Glossbones, you will surely delight in the timeless glory. Perfect.

Fall metallics are in! As in the go-to shades of CHANEL. All three of these are fast favorites already!

The new molten metal, light reflecting shades — Quartz (metallic greige), Péridot (metallic gold-green with iridescent pink undertones) and Graphite (glitter-flecked gray) — are certain to become bestsellers. However, the limited edition colors won't be around for long, so get them while they are hot!

nailcolortodayI have been dying to get my hands on a new spring nail color for weeks now, to help usher in the new season. And while I thought I'd go for one of the bright sheers from the OPI Texas collection and Essie's Coat Azure, I left ULTA with an unexpected duo.

Essie's Sand Tropez is a gorgeous sandy color from the spring collection. It's my chameleon shade, perfect for those days when I'm all decked out in brights for spring (like today, since it's 73 degrees). My nails are not in the best shape, so this neutral hides all imperfections while making my nails look ... well ... polished.

No stranger to the game, OPI's 20 Candles on my Cake has been around for quite some time. In fact, I think OPI wants it gone since it's currently on sale. I was looking for a new red, yet walked away with this beautiful berry color. It's subdued enough to wear year round. Over the last year and a half, I've been obsessed with navy, plum, charcoal and greige. Finally, I open my arms to reds again. Full on embrace!
noniecremebutterlondoninbazaarI feel so maternal saying this, but I can't resist ...

I am so proud of my stylish friend, Nonie Creme, creative director for butter LONDON! She graces the pages of the October issue of BAZAAR Australia. Go Nonie!

Smart, savvy and stylish, Nonie knows nails. And butter LONDON happens to be my favorite nail lacquer because of it. The shades are brilliant! So you can imagine what an honor it was to have the opportunity to help name one of butter LONDON's newest shades, All Hail McQueen.

Nonie shares,

Always wear a statement nail. It will make you the center of attention. And it's hard to be grumpy when you are wearing pink glitter (Rosie Lee) or a beautiful blue (Victoriana) on your digits.

Inspired by designer Alexander Wang, butter LONDON's Fash Pack mimics the collection's wearability. The putty color works well for both this season and next.

Speaking of spring, Nonie predicts granny apple green, salmon pink and pops of fluoro to make an impact.
