braidedhairBraids are back.

I'm not going to lie. I'm glad.

It's an easy way to look on trend and spend very little time on your hair.  It's almost a cheat move. Too easy. Something you don't have to think about.

However, it's not for everyone.

I did braids three years ago when they first made an appearance. But I'm not sure I can pull it off this go around.

I will try. Though, it will have to be disheveled like this. This may be the only way you see a braid out of me this season.

Hair trends are meant to experiment with. However, always go with what is most authentic for you based on your individual style.

Fall is in the hair. Can you feel it?

Speaking of, fall is all about low maintenance. Thank goodness. From loose, textured waves and perfectly centered parts to a plethora of pony tails, twists and braids, and 60s inspired styles. I especially love these looks by Burberry Prorsum, Fendi and Diane von Furstenberg.

I do believe bed head and 3rd day hair will be right on trend.

I always look forward to hair and makeup trends each new season. After all, it's an easy and inexpensive adjustment. And what fun it is to experiment!

This spring, there are plenty of reasons to pull your hair back. Starting with mixed textures, as seen on the Ferragamo runway. How about ornate ponytails (Missoni), milkmaid braids (Giles) and windswept updos (Tom Ford)? Yes.

Hair care developed by a leading dermatologist? Right on!

I am super excited to have recently come across Root Resilience from Dr. Dennis Gross. Just as it is important to take proper care of our skin, so too is that true for our hair. This anti-aging hair care system β€” made up of Strengthening Shampoo, Nourishing Scalp Conditioner and Anti-Aging Scalp Serum β€” nourishes the hair follicle at the root to promote scalp health and strong hair at its source. Containing a potent blend of amino acids, antioxidants and peptides, this trio targets aging and helps to strengthen, nourish and protect hair. With regular use, your hair is restored to a fuller, healthier, younger-looking state.

Root Resilience is perfect for anyone concerned with shedding or weak, lackluster hair. And timing couldn't be better as we move into spring!

I am loving this quick updo for those 'I don't want to worry about my hair' days. TRESemmé lead fashion week stylist Jeanie Syfu provides us with a nice option that can be dressed up or down. Can't wait to try it this week!
