The thought of whipping out a dark, mysterious eye for fall has me quite excited. I rarely add color under my eyes. However, this upcoming season, I will attempt to sport this look. As long as I can pull it off without looking like a raccoon.

Line me up, baby!

If you are a fan of Urban Decay's cult Naked eyeshadow palettes, listen up. The brand has extended its love to lips, with a range of nine lip plumping glosses. Enriched with hyaluronic spheres, Vitamin E and avocado oil, the glosses have all the nourishing properties of a balm. And the packaging rocks!

Go ahead, get your naked on.

Today was a monumental day for me. I finally learned how to line my lips!

Victoria Luburich of Wallett Cosmetics was in town from San Francisco today. And I happened to be one of the lucky ones to attend her master class at Bond Street Wines through Jeffre Scott. It was amazingly educational and super fun. Lip and sip β€” and sip some more!

While mastering the technique of lining lips may not sound like a big deal, it truly is. What a difference it makes. And because 2014 is the year of the lips, I'll take every ounce of knowledge I can get to help me achieve the perfect pout. Starting with Wallett's Cameo lip liner and adding the new spring colors, Blush lipstick and Blossom lip gloss.

My new spring lip. Muah!

pinksatinlipsLip pencils have become my new best friends this year. They are easy companions to have around. And the choices in brands and shades are endless.

NARS started the jumbo lip pencil craze long ago. Now everyone has caught on. The latest version is a satin formula rich in pigment, yet highly moisturizing. Vitamin-enriched and long lasting, you can use this satin lip pencil to line lips, or all over in place of your lip color.

And pink lips are the deal this spring. As are orange β€” repeating its popularity from last year.

belliniloveOne of my favorite ways to embrace spring is by changing my makeup routine.

For almost two months now, I have been obsessed with one of my favorite summertime lip and cheek gel stains from Vincent Longo. I have at least four, two regular gel stains and two pearlessence gel stains. It's my Bellini Love stain that's getting all the attention as of late.

In general, lip and cheek tints or stains are long-lasting, natural and rich in pigment. However, there is a little something special about the pearlessence stains. Bellini Love is a light iridescent mauve color that beautifully highlights cheekbones, in addition to bringing life to lips under a simple lip balm or gloss. I love the ease of use. And I love the compliments it draws.

If you haven't startedΒ experimenting with spring makeup, it's time. It will definitely help set your mood for the day, whether it be warm or cold, sunny or rainy.

And here's a heads up β€” there are some seriously fabulous items in the Vincent Longo Cosmetics line coming out for spring. I happened to get a sneak peek while up in NYC this week, meeting with my favorite Vincent Longo national makeup artist extraordinaire, Phillip Baquero. More to come!
