A few months ago, I ordered a pair of Audrey Hepburn style sunglasses from London. I love them. However, my face is a bit too narrow to truly do them justice. In fact, it looks like I'm wearing Willy Wonka's sunglasses when I put them on (hence the name, Willys). That doesn't stop me, though.

Ironically, everyone gravitates toward them. The younger set, especially. My Willys seem to look better on everyone else, so I don't mind passing them around. I can't steal them away from my daughter, either. She grabs them right out of my purse. Well, at least she looks more Hollywood glam than Willy Wonka!

redcrowwatchbfwSometimes, it's the little things that make me happy — as long as they're big, that is.

As soon as I got my wrist on this CROW BFW watch in red, it was all over. For one, I am all about a colorful watch for spring. And this one is obnoxiously big ... I love it!

Not only can you choose the watch color, but you can select the color of the face, as well. How incredibly cool is that? The price is such that you can have three on hand, depending on your mood. Or better yet, just buy a few extra interchangeable bands and keep the same face. That way, you can play around with the colors of spring! There are 49 different options.

CROW watches are water resistant, and the BFW can go to 3 ATM. It has a soft silicone strap, rustproof clasp, stainless steel back and large analog face with reflective numbers. Seriously diggin' the CROW BFW!
Ahhh, summer. This is a bitter sweet good-bye. While I'll miss the late mornings filled with yoga, trips to the lake and beach, and spending precious time with my family and friends, it's time to prepare for fall.

As I look back at some of my favorite summer accessories, I must have been crushing on orange. The pop of color I chose most often to pair with my neutrals turned out to be a color that's non-existent in my personal color palette. But that's what accessories are for ... to experiment with styles and/or colors you can't commit to.

With the Labor Day holiday upon us, we are reminded to take advantage of the last days of summer. Labor Day signals the change in season — even if that change is only mental at the moment, until the heat dissipates. With that said, I celebrate my favorite summer accessories: Hermès scarves, Laura James rings, fun oversized watches, neutral sandals and heels, long chain necklaces, link chain bracelets and modern, technology-focused shades ... to name just a few!

Here's wishing you a fabulous holiday weekend! Enjoy your last summer moments.

bigvintageaccessoriesThere has always been this love affair with fabulous vintage pieces for me. Elaborate, understated elegance, or just plain big. I love. And right now, I am into big ... as in oversized (enormous) vintage accessories.

Whether it be sunglasses, watches or necklaces, I simply cannot get enough.

At the moment, I am into big sunglasses. Mom, I know we (sisters and I) used to make fun of your 'bug eyed' sunglasses when we were younger, but I realize that they served a great purpose ... to keep the sun off of your face. And, they just look cool.

vintagewatchI am especially into huge vintage or vintage-inspired watches. You know, the kind that take up your entire forearm and wrist. Love! I already have a favorite La Mer watch, but this vintage one is truly special. It's timeless (no pun intended), seasonless and forever a treasured piece.

Fabulous oversized vintage necklaces are a little harder to come by. However, when you do come across one (or two or five), snatch them up. You will find more than just a few occasions to wear them to!

Go big vintage!

In my quest to find alternative ways to accessorize this summer, I stumbled upon the creator of a delightfully stylish line of women's and girl's hair ornaments. Andrea Chafetz, of Andrea's Beau, gleans inspiration from her travels around the world to design masterpieces with beautiful silk flowers, trims and ribbons.

Andrea's collection of enchanting hair accessories provides countless opportunities to adorn hair. I love my Laurel Jacquard double adjustable soft headband. Being adjustable is just one of the differentiators. The materials used, another. However, the thought process behind the product is what really separates Andrea's Beau from its competition. And the icing on the cake: Andrea's Beau supports two charities, The Princess Program (providing abused and neglected teenage foster girls with special events) and love.fútbol (dedicated to building sustainable soccer fields for children in impoverished communities).

Andrea was destined for success. After all, it's in the genes — her grandfather, a dress manufacturer; her grandmother, a department store millinery buyer; her father, owner of New York women's boutiques; and her mother, a fashion model and noted artist. Her talent has enabled girls of all ages to express their style. And Andrea's Beau has the most extensive girl's collection I have seen! My daughter nearly flipped when she explored the variety of hair accessories. Needless to say, the holiday shopping list has begun.
