Handbags

With the brilliant colors of the season, there is no doubt I have my eye on a handbag or two (or five). Scrumptious textures. Functional shapes. And various sizes and structure. What to choose?

When selecting a handbag, scale should be the underlying factor. Too large — your bag takes you over. Too small — visual balance is completely thrown off. Get the scale right, then it's all about love.

In fact, the right handbag finds you. Much like choosing a puppy!

Really, what is there to say? Other than this extraordinarily stupendous Celine handbag needs to be mine. Yet, it's impossible to find. The structure and versatility of this shape is so beyond phenomenal. And don't get me started on the colors (read: year round goodness). Sigh.

supercuteminisWhile scale-to-frame plays a big role in selecting a handbag, you can throw that rule out the window when it comes to the little guys.

You know, the clutch. The multi-tasking small shoulder bag. How cute are these?

Thanks to Theyskens' Theory, 3.1 Phillip Lim and Charlotte Olympia (left to right), we have some bright options for spring. Ones that are sure to put a smile on our faces!

When it's this cold outside, you need a little warmth by your side ... in the form of Celine, of course. This shearling handbag not only makes me smile, but it makes me feel warm and fuzzy inside. The fact that it's a Celine tops it all. I can just imagine snuggling up to ... er ... carrying this bag on the chilliest of days. Purrrrrfect!

Zoey, how fortunate I am to have met you.

You are not only easy on the eyes, but you support me in so many ways, every single day of the week. You listen to my madness and never judge. You anticipate my every move. And best yet, you make me look good.

While Zoey could be my best friend, she is also my favorite handbag for fall. My Zoey in stone is a can't-live-without bag. My whole life fits in it and then some. The cleverest of them all — the front pouch, or Roo ... as in kangaroo pouch. The perfect size to fit all of my essentials — phone, keys and favorite lipstick.

Zoey's a special bag. So special, she appeared in a few of my photo shoots.
